On social media, every New Year is greeted with the clichéd verses of our young poet, Aabi Makhnoi, like these:
New Year Wish…………….
“The result will remain the same; I hear only the year will change.
The birds will still be the same; I hear only the trap will change.”
In this choice, young people express regret over their dull lives and disappointment with the future. About 10-12 years ago, during the era of print media, the revolutionary poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz dominated the last editions of December. Even then, the choice of our national media reflected complaints about the rulers and despair about a brighter future:
“Why do people offer baseless congratulations?
O New Year! Tell me, what is new about you?
Why has everyone created such a ruckus?
The sky has changed, but alas, the earth has not.
Changing a single digit is no novelty.”
Nonetheless, the year 2024 has faded into history, becoming a part of the past, and 2025 has dawned as the new calendar year. Instead of lamenting the past, look forward! No one but you will step forward to fill your life with colors.
The issue isn’t about the new year or the old one; the issue lies within your mindset. When you change, your year will change too. All it takes is determination, hard work, and perseverance.
As long as you keep circling the same loop, repeating the same kind of years in your life, you will remain like an ox tied to a grinding wheel. Your life will never change.
If you want to change your future, change yourself! Explore the possibilities, discover new paths, and move forward!

کا سواگت ہمارے نوجوان عابی مکھنوی کے ان گِھسے پِٹے اشعار سے کرتے آ رہے ہیں:

احمد فیض چھائے ہوتے تھے۔ تب بھی ہمارے قومی میڈیا کا انتخاب ایسا ہو ہوتا تھا۔
حکمرانوں سے ماضی شکوہ روشن مستقبل سے مایوسی:
مبارکبادیں!!!
مچا رکھاہے؟
بدلی ہے زمین
جدت تو نہیں
گیا ہے اور 2025ء کیلینڈر ایئر پر طلوع ہو چکا ہے۔ ماضی کو
دیکھئے!! آپ کی زندگیوں میں رنگ بھرنے کے لئے، آپ کے علاوہ کوئی آگے نہیں آئے
گا۔۔۔!
میں نہیں ہے۔ مسئلہ آپ کے ذہن میں ہے۔ آپ بدلیں گے تو آپ کا سال بھی بدلے گا: بس
عزم، محنت اور جستجو!!!
میں گھومتے رہیں گے۔ ایک ہی جیسے سالوں کو اپنی زندگی میں دہراتے رہیں گے، تو آپ
کولہو کا بیل بنے رہیں گے، آپ کی زندگی کبھی نہیں بدلے گی۔!
آپ بدلو، امکانات کا جائزہ لو، نئی راہیں تلاش کرو اور آگے کا راستہ لو!!!
